Parents' Pledge

As partners in education and role models, we, the parents of Maris Stella High School (Primary), pledge that:

  • We will support and participate wholeheartedly and selflessly in the activities of the school to achieve holistic development not just for our sons but every boy in the school.
  • We will work hand in hand with the principal and teachers to guide our sons in their journey towards being gentlemen of faith, vision and service.
  • We will be totally committed to help the school and our sons in their efforts to build a gracious, a socially responsible society and a continually progressing nation.

It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing.

It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.

- Mother Teresa

About us

In 1990, a small group of parents from the pre-primary and Primary 1 classes helped to organise a Children’s Fancy Dress Competition. History was made when this first group of parents stepped forward to lend a helping hand to the children and their teachers. These parents continued to help out further in other subsequent school events such as concerts and outings.

Over the years, the Parent Volunteer Programme has evolved in response to changes within the school. The organisation has, together with the students as well as the school administration, grown in a climate of cordiality, cooperation and constructive dialogue.

The number of PSG members has grown over the years and today we have more than 180 members who are actively involved in supporting the school events.

While we truly appreciate and would love for all interested parties to serve,  it is regrettable that only parents of existing students will be accepted to serve and contribute. The School does not accept non Marist Parents as Volunteers.

Parents can serve and/or contribute in three ways:

1) Joining one of the Sub Group and serve once a week.

2) Joining the Ad Hoc Group and serve whenever available.

3) Purchasing Merchandise / Supporting Initiatives financially

4) Donate brand new books / toys as prizes for our activities (Please contact us for this.)

If you have read our Sub Group description and would like to join us, please fill in the form here!

Please note that registration and onboarding takes time, and none of the Parent Volunteers are able to attend to all enquiries on a full-time basis.

Once you have registered using the form here, a Sub Group Leader will contact you within 3 to 5 days. After they have confirmed your availability and commitment, we will send your details to the School for approval (Another 2 - 3 Days).

When all is ready, you will be added into a Group Chat and you are ready to serve!

As at 22nd February, we are still sorting out some new Sub Groups and how they work and hence we have yet to contact parents who have indicated interest to join Ad Hoc / Events / Admin Team. Please give us some time! (:
